Tips for Digital Storytelling
Jon Orech gives a great summary of the various stages of Digital Storytelling.

Successful storytelling includes the following features:
  • Listeners can't wait to hear what will happen next and when they do, they aren't disappointed.
  • Listeners feel that what happened next made sense but wasn't predictable.
  • Tellers stayed on message and didn't include information or events that didn't support the story.
  • Tellers feel they commanded the listeners' attention from beginning to end and delivered according to listeners' expectations.
  • Listeners were motivated to listen without interruption.
  • The story wasn't too long, and the payoff at the end was in proportion to the listeners' investment of time, trust, and attention.
